Hi I'm Madeline Voyles

I am 20 years old. I am a cosmetologist and preparing to serve an 18 month mission in Chile. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hello, my name is Maddie. I am 20 years old. I am a cosmetologist and love everything beauty. I also love interior design and would love to someday have a career that would allow me to do a little of both. I am currently preparing to serve in the Concepcion, Chile South mission for 18 months and couldn't be more excited! I love my friends and family more than anything in the whole wide world and nothing makes me happier than spending time with them!

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member my whole life. I don't have an amazing conversion story or anything special but I continue to live the gospel everyday because even though I didn't experience anything extraordinary, I know this gospel is true. I wouldn't want to live my life any other way. Growing up in Las Vegas I had a lot of LDS friends, but I also had a good number of friends who weren't. I saw the struggles and the unanswered questions they had and I loved to try and help them in anyway I could, but it just made me more grateful for the knowledge that the gospel has given me and the comfort it brings. I truly believe the principles the LDS church teaches because I have applied them to my life. My favorite being that of the Atonement and how we are able to benefit from it daily. No matter what challenges we have and how alone we feel, it always comforts me to know that our Savior, Jesus Christ suffered the pains of the world so that he could know how we feel and what we are going through. He knows us better than we know ourself, and what better best friend to have than one who knows exactly how you feel? He also atoned so that when we pass from this life we are able to return and live with him and our Father in Heaven. We can be forgiven of our sins and live with our family and loved ones for all eternity. We need the Savior as our companion and friend because we can't do it alone. We need His help and the help from our Heavenly Father and trust that they will help us through the hard things. They are there, all we need to do is ask and pray for help and guidance and I promise They will deliver you. We have been given the Bible and the Book of Mormon that we can look to and learn from them. We are all children of God and he loves us more than we can even imagine. I know this because I have experienced and felt it. He loves us, and wants more than anything for us to be able to return back and live with him once again. This I pray for, in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving in the Nursery for the children at church. It's an amazing calling! I love to spend time with the little ones and watch them learn and grow. Previous to this I was an Activities Coordinator for my singles ward as well as a Sunday School teacher. I love that all these are so different and I had so many opportunities to learn. They were all so fun and uplifting at the same time.
