Hi I'm Ryan Rampton

I grew up in Southern California. I play volleyball mostly, but also other sports. And I am a Mormon.

About Me

I love sports. Particularly volleyball and basketball. I am currently on a mission in the Colorado Denver North Mission. I went to local community college for two years prior to my mission and now will be going to a university after my mission. My aspiration is to be able to play volleyball in college. I have a special interest in nutrition and sports medicine and may major in something along those lines. My family means the world to me and more and I will do anything for someone I care about at a moment's notice.

Why I am a Mormon

Why am I a Mormon? Well, I was born into the church. In fact, on my dad's side, we've been members of the church since February of 1853 where one of my ancestors in England converted when missionaries taught him the gospel. Anyway, I'm Mormon because I've had so much happiness come from being in this church and living it's precepts. This Gospel has been the means for me to avoid many destructive behaviors and substances and I am truly grateful for that. It has also been a conduit for me to be able to evaluate myself in ways that have helped me to improve myself as a person and disciple of Jesus Christ. I know without a doubt that the Gospel of Jesus Christ is the belief system that is meant for all. It doesn't matter what walk of life a person is from, the Gospel will change their life for the better.

How I live my faith

I live it by being an example in every way I can for them. I would go to other young men's Eagle Scout projects and help the community in whatever project they had planned. Out here on the mission I have been able to do service at food banks and thrift stores as well as landscaping for various parts of cities and also sing classic folk songs to the elderly in assisted living establishments. I also have had the privilege to teach both 11 and 9 year old children in the church on Sundays. Before my mission, I also would go out with the missionaries and tract and teach with them. It helped me gain experience for my own mission. I want to share the source of my strength and blessings in life with others so that way they may receive those same blessings and more. My faith has brought me so much fortune as to now it is my turn to return the favor to our Heavenly Father by helping his other children find their faith in this gospel.
