Hi I'm Megan

I'm American born, Canadian resident, and university student in Utah studying communications and theatre. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I lived in South Jordan, Utah until I was 12 and was surrounded by a strong Mormon community and my large family. At the beginning of junior high I moved to Calgary, Alberta, Canada with my parents and sister. I had to cement my beliefs and stand strong as now being the minority in my school and community. I now attend Brigham Young University. I lived in London, England for a semester and toured Italy and France. I love acting, costume and set design, singing, blogging, reading, skiing, painting, and riding my bike. I'm always looking for new adventures and opportunities and dreaming big.

Why I am a Mormon

I come from a heritage of those who heard and accepted the gospel, and gave up everything to follow Christ. Ever since I was young, I was taught by loving parents and grandparents about this heritage. After studying the scriptures everyday, praying, and living Christ's teachings, I knew for myself that this church provided the way and the means to live with inner peace and utmost hope for the future. I know that this gospel provides the sure way for us to return to live with Christ when we die with our families and loved ones. I love the Book of Mormon and I know all of the words contained inside give inspiration and revelation. I am a Mormon because I believe in God and His plan for me. I know Jesus Christ is my Savior and He loves me. I long to share the love I feel with those around me and left lift their burdens. Living the gospel of Jesus Christ brings me happiness and courage.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by maintaining a close relationship with Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. I pray often throughout the day and read the scriptures and other uplifting words daily. I attend church every week and while I'm there, I aim to listen and record ways that I can improve myself the next coming week. I honor my parents, and love to spend time with my family. I am a visiting teacher, meaning that every month I make sure two other girls who live near me are doing well and are feeling loved and supported. I strive each day to live more like Christ and love others as He would.
