Hi I'm Jeremy

I'm an outdoors enthusiast, a musician, a 4.0 student, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have really enjoyed spending time in the outdoors. - Camping has long been a family tradition. Together we have traveled to many beautiful places both locally and across America. - Another hobby of mine is cycling. It is great to get out into the fresh air under a canopy of trees and experience some solitude. - I have been employed as a city league soccer official. Music has been a big part of my life. - I am a self-taught pianist; I have been playing for about 10 years. - I have been involved with many different school choirs. Even more than my hobbies I have been involved in my studies. I recently graduated from high school and have been accepted to a large university. There I plan on majoring in mechanical engineering.

Why I am a Mormon

Following the teachings of God has brought immense peace and joy into my life. However, there was a time in my life when I chose to distance myself from God. During this time I was angry all of the time and never was quite satisfied with how things were going for me. At this dark point I decided to turn back to God. He helped me to get out of this hole and has repeatedly helped me with anything that I have experienced. I once again have found peace. I now know that God is real. Not only does He exist but He loves me, imperfect as I am. I know that He has that same love for you. No matter how dark things seem there is always hope through Jesus Christ. Because of this hope I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I know that this is His church.

How I live my faith

I want to reach my potential by becoming more like Christ. He is the ultimate example in my life. One of the ways that I have tried to become more Christ-like is through service. While on the Earth Christ always went about doing good. So in an attempt to emulate Him I have tried to help other people with anything that they may need, even if it is as simple as a smile. For quite a few years I have been getting up early before school so that I could have time to read from the scriptures (both the Bible and Book of Mormon) and pray. Doing this has had profound effects on my life. I have grown to know God and Christ better. I have been amazed at how things in my life just seem to fall into place as I do these two things every morning. I have been grateful for the opportunity that I have to attend church weekly. Doing this has allowed me to keep everything in the right perspective and be more motivated to make changes in my life.
