Hi I'm Jessie

I grew up in the state of Washington. I'm a grandmother and soon to be great-grandmother. I'm a Missionary.

About Me

My favorite pastime is spending time with my grandchildren, but they are scattered all over the country with busy lives. My husband and I are now serving a full-time mission in the Utah Provo Mission. We previously served in Brazil as well. Some of my other hobbies and interests are reading, sewing and playing the piano and organ. I taught piano lessons at one time. I also love to read, sew, cook healthy meals, do genealogy and travel.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. But that is only a small part of why I am now a Mormon. The longer I live the more I cherish the truths of the gospel found in this church. I know that the Book of Mormon contains the word of God and it's truths brings me peace and joy as I live them. I know that this church is the church of Jesus Christ and if we have faith in Him and follow His teachings we can return to live with God after this life is complete.

How I live my faith

I try every day to obey the commandments of God because I know they help me to find happiness. Service is also important; I love the feeling I get when helping others: being a good neighbor, serving in the community, and serving in the church. And maybe the most important way I live my faith is through prayer. When I converse with God daily I feel Him near and get a glimpse of my purpose here on earth. Sometimes I live my faith better than other times, but I try to never give up.
