Hi I'm Anniken

Born and raised true blue Idaho farm girl. I have great expectations in life and love my eternal family and friends.

About Me

I was born and raised in the great state of Idaho. I am a farm and ranch girl and wouldn't trade it for the world. I was actively involved in the FFA Organization in high school and learned so many life skills and made life-long friends in my career. Someday I hope to become a Pediatric Nurse and work with those sweet babies. You can often find me riding horses, reading a good book, baking new desserts to take to people, swimming in the canal, practicing the piano, working alongside my dad, attending church events and activities, or spending time with family and friends. The Lord and my family are my world. I love them so much. I am currently serving as a Missionary in the great Texas McAllen and love every single second. The people are extraordinary here and I love the Spanish language.

Why I am a Mormon

I was fortunate enough to be born into the Gospel. My mother's family have always been members but my dad's dad was baptized after he married my grandma. He had the strongest testimony of almost anyone I know. Growing up church is just something that we did, no question about it. But as I got older, I had to find out for sure whether this Gospel is true and if this church was His church and if it was the only true one upon the face of the earth. My teenage years were a struggle and I was very lost and confused and didn't know what to think and believe. I had many outside influences pressing me down and I wasn't sure where to turn but I always knew in the back of my mind what was right and wrong. Since my teenage years, though, I have come to know my Father in Heaven personally. I have come to rely on our Savior with my entire heart and being because He is the only one that is unchanging, and he loves me unconditionally. I was on my way to pick up my brother from his friend's house and I was seriously thinking about what I needed in my life. One minute I was completely lost and felt alone and had no idea what I was doing with my life. I felt like I had no one and no one cared about me. Then the next moment a song started playing and I started bawling and knew with absolute certainty that I was a Daughter of God and He loved me no matter what! And this church, His church is absolutely true and I would never want anything else with my life. And I, was going on a mission! Cause if he could love me enough to show me all this and serve me with His entire heart, I can love him enough and give 18 months of my own life to Him and His children that are searching for the Gospel, 100% and wholeheartedly. I am a Mormon. Dare to be a Mormon, Dare to stand alone, Dare to have a purpose firm, Dare to make it known. I know it. I live it. I love it.

How I live my faith

I was actively involved with the Young Women while I was one of them. We did many fun things including those to help the less fortunate. As I graduated high school I went on to Singles' Ward and you could often find us helping at a community food table or helping someone in the ward who was struggling. I taught the 3-4 year old children in the Ward for about 6 months and absolutely loved their sweet little spirits. The light they have radiates from their little bodies and made my own testimony grow immensely. I try to be a good friend to those around me and strive to be a missionary in my daily life. In 2007 I met a girl that changed my life. We became best friends and I was able to be with her as she built her testimony of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. She was just baptized at the beginning of 2015.
