Hi I'm Sarah

I was born and raised in Oregon. I love to create artwork and make music. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a sophomore in high school. I absolutely love to learn and am always searching for new books to read. I am working towards a visual arts major in BYU Provo. I take part in the musical and theater programs at my school. I have most recently performed in "Taming of The Shrew" and "Into the Woods". I sing alto and soprano in my ward choir as well as the school's choir. My passion is drawing. Since I was young, I have taught myself and continue to develop my artistic talents. I am currently into using graphite pencils to draw semi-realistic portraits of people. I have been playing the piano for 10 years and have just started learning the cello. I am the second oldest of 7 children. I love spending time with my family and strengthening my relationship with my parents and siblings.

Why I am a Mormon

Although I was born into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, I have a testimony that this is the true church and will continue to live the gospel for as long as I live. Through personal experience, I know that the Book of Mormon is Another Testament of Christ and that Joseph Smith was sent by God to translate the records and restore the true gospel to the earth. I have directly seen and felt the influence of the Holy Spirit in my life. It has guided me and comforted me. I recognize my Heavenly Father's love for me and for all of His children. I live the standards that God has set for me. He gave us the gospel standards to protect us and to give us the choice to become truly free.

How I live my faith

I am the second counselor in my young women's Mia Maid presidency. I perform my calling by reaching out and being a friend to young women that are going through hard times. I appreciate the ability to organize weekly mutual activities and share my thoughts and ideas with the presidency. I enjoy serving others and am always on the lookout for opportunities to serve others. I plan on volunteering at a local animal shelter this school year. I love to index. Which is to collect information of my ancestors from documents so they may be baptized in the temple and can live with their families forever.
