Hi I'm Megan Jordan

I'm a missionary serving in the Michigan Lansing Mission. I love my family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love running. I did cross country and track in high school and loved it so much! I just finished my associates degree at Utah State University. Soon I'm going on a mission for this church to Lansing Michigan! I am so excited. Then I'll come back up to school when I'm done. I also love the outdoors, my family, crafting, other types of exercise, fall, reading, and having fun!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints brings true and lasting happiness. I am a Mormon because I know that my Heavenly Father and my Savior Jesus Christ love me. I know that Jesus Christ suffered for my sins and sorrows so that I could return to live with Him, my Heavenly Father, and my family forever. I am a Mormon because I know that my family can be together forever through the blessings of the temple and the priesthood. I know that my family can be the happiest when my home is founded on the teachings of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I believe in living the gospel of Jesus Christ 100%. I do my very best to obey all the commandments to my very best ability. I often help in my church with the music. I go visiting teaching (visit 2 sisters in my congregation) every month. I have really been able to become their friends and give them a friend that lives close. It is nice. I read my scriptures and pray every day and I love to do it. I love this church and I love keeping the commandments.

What is being a Mormon like?

Megan Jordan
Being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (being a Mormon) is a way of life. For me, it isn't hard to be a member, because that is my life. Keeping the commandments doesn't really add anything extra to my life because that is what I already try to do. Doing this brings me the most happiness I could possibly have. I say daily prayers, read my scriptures, go to church every week, and do my very best to love others and follow Christ's example of kindness. Being a Mormon also helps me to realize the importance of families. I love my family SO much and I love spending time with me. Because of the knowledge I have received from being a member, I know that I will be able to be with them forever as long as I keep the commandments that God has given us. Because this gospel makes me so happy, I want to share it with others. This is why many Mormons are always trying to invite their neighbors to church or to hear the missionaries. It is because our lifestyle as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints brings me and all of us so much happiness and we want others to experience that. I love my life as a Mormon! How can we increase our faith in Jesus Christ?

Megan Jordan
Increasing faith in Christ is a gradual process, but if we desire faith in Christ, then we can receive it. We have been promised that in the scriptures. In Alma chapter 32 (pg. 288 in the Book of Mormon) it talks about gaining faith. If we have a desire to gain faith, we will. We can increase our faith by studying God's word and keeping His commandments. We can then slowly build upon the faith and the belief that we already have. It starts out small, but can grow to be a powerful faith and knowledge of our Savior Jesus Christ. Show more Show less
