Hi I'm John McPhie

I was born in St. George, Utah. I received my call to serve a mission in the Peru Lima Central mission. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm currently a distance runner for my high school. My cross country team took state this year and we are planning to take state again in track. I love to rock climb, but also love to play video games when I'm not busy with anything else. I have been an athlete my whole life, but have worked hard in school to maintain a 4.0. When I get a little older I aspire to attend Stanford University and then go on to be a software engineer.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have prayed to God to know if this church is true. He answered me. I have never felt this way about anything else in my life. I know of a surety that God answers prayers, maybe not in the way we expect, or when we expect but he answers them none the less. But then again, sometimes He answers them in the most perfect way you could ever ask for. Try it: ask.

How I live my faith

I love to help out my community whenever I get the opportunity to do so. For my Eagle Project I put up a swimming records board at our community center. This service has been helpful to the younger swimmers: giving them new goals to shoot for. I love the closeness this church brings amongst people.
