Hi I'm Kirk

I grew up in Utah, spent most of my working career in Utah, I'm now retired, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a father of four children and grandfather of fourteen (soon to be fifteen). I spent my working career as a professional electrical engineer working in the electrical utility industry and in the architectural and engineering world as a designer of building lighting and power systems. As I am now retired, I have more time to enjoy home remodeling and repairs as well as working in the yard. I enjoy golfing and hiking.

Why I am a Mormon

I believe in an Eternal Heavenly Father and His Son and Savior Jesus Christ. I believe that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the restoration of the Lord's Church that he organized when he lived upon the earth. I believe that the Savior's death and resurrection make possible the opportunity for me and my family to be able to return to live with Our Father and His Son after we leave this life. I believe that there are commandments that we must obey and covenants that we must make and keep in order for this to occur.

How I live my faith

I have enjoyed serving in my church congregations all my life and in many capacities. My most enjoyable experiences have involved working with young adults. I am continually impressed with their capabilities and goodness.
