Hi I'm Linda Orton

I'm a crazy kindergarten teacher that loves to go to the beach at sunrise. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in California and now I live in Florida. I love beaches! (Especially at sunrise with my feet in the water.) Building sand castles makes any day better. I also love my kindergarten friends. All sixteen years worth of teaching kindergarten of my twenty three years as an educator. If I could teach kindergarten forever, I would because "Everything important you need to know in life you learn in kindergarten." My family is the most important thing to me. I have been blessed with a husband and four children that love me and I love them. Family gatherings are the best on any occasion! We love to sit around the table eating and talking together for hours. I want to be with my family forever!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because the doctrines and principles taught are true. I had to come to this knowledge for myself. My parents became members of the church before I was born but as I grew up I knew that the day would come that I must decide if I believed or not. I was in my late teens before I finally put it to prayer. I came to the point in my life that I knew I must ask God if what I had been taught my whole life was true. I remember reading the last few verses of the Book of Mormon, Moroni 10:3-5, challenging me to ask. When I prayed, I felt the most amazing peace come over me. I knew then that I had been given great truth in the teachings of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

How I live my faith

I live my faith daily by loving those around me. If sharing a smile or a listening ear helps someone then I want to do it. I try to think, "What would Jesus do," in this situation and I let that be how I respond. Christ is the center of my live. He is at the center of my faith.
