Hi I'm Jack

I grew up in Oregon. I work at a retirement home. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a college student going to Portland Community College. After this term, I will be going on a mission to Fort Lauderdale, Florida and I will be going to the MTC in May. It took a lot of praying and I eventually got the feeling that a mission was the right thing to do. Being a member of the church is a great blessing. Going to church, singing hymns, giving lessons in church is so great. I like being a primary teacher and I will enjoy it until I go on my mission. Overall, it is the greatest being a member of the church.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church. My parents are both Mormons. My Dad was baptized by missionaries when he was ten. I want to serve a mission because if it was not for missionaries, My Dad would not have been a member of the church and I would not be here. I am Mormon because after I got baptized, I knew I wanted to be a member of the church forever. Being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the greatest blessing ever. Pray and you will know this church is the true church.

How I live my faith

I am currently a primary teacher. It means that I teach little kids, and I teach six year olds. I team teach with another person. It is a great calling. they have a lot of energy, but I know they come from great families who teach them very well. It makes my calling great.

What is done with the tithing that Mormons pay?

Jack
When members give one tenth of their money, all tithing money given by everyone is used to expanding the church. This includes, Constructing Temples, chapels, and other buildings, printing and translating scriptures, temple work, family history, and many other important church functions and much more. Tithing is important for growing the church on earth. Show more Show less
