Hi I'm Daniel

I grew up mostly in Sevier County, TN, I am a Vol. Fire Fighter and EMR, a District manager. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a father of two, both have or are serving in the military, I work as a district manager of an automotive repair facility and I also volunteer as a firefighter/EMS as well. I enjoy flying and have flown Helicopters, but now I fly R/C helicopters.

Why I am a Mormon

I know that our Lord and Savior lead and guide us still today and that he loves us enough to still comunicate to us as our earthly father does. I know that if we listen to his guidance through the prophets that we may to return to see him again...

How I live my faith

By being a volunteer in the fire service, I have had many times to comfort someone during there worst, and even have been asked to pray with many of my patients and I have always gladly done so. Sometimes in there moment of pain, and other times in there moments of loss. It is nice to know that the Lord does answer prayers and is with them in all thier needs.

Why is authority to perform a baptism important?

When I was a child, I wanted to help people. I watched Emergency and also my father was dying of cancer so we were in and out of hospitals a lot. I was around the medical field more than most 10 year olds. I would watch with great desire to learn what each person was doing. As I got older I would read everything I could about emergency medicine. So when I became an adult I was versed over terminology of the medical profession, and felt as if I had been called to act in this capacity. Due to my knowledge and my heart felt desire to help people. Would that have giving me Authority to treat someone medically? I mean after all I had this gift for making people better and I should apply it, right? The answer is NO!! Even though I had this knowledge and wanted to help people, I did not have the proper Authority to do so. It wasn’t until I gained my medical license and I was recognized by the state to practice medicine that I had the proper Authority. For this reason and many other examples, proper Authority is very important. I am sure there are some great people that have Baptized people while feeling it in there heart they were right, but were did the authority come from? Shouldn’t this be important? To me it is, and is one of the many things I love about the Church and the fact that the gospel and the priesthood was restored. Show more Show less
