Hi I'm Rebecca

I am a proud Canadian, someone passionate about life and a Mormon!

About Me

Hey, I am Rebecca and I am a proud member of the Mormon church. I am a recent high school graduate and have been working for the past year. I am passionate about life, people, culture, art, music, food, fashion, and spending time with those I love. Something I love to do is travel. If the opportunity for travel ever arises you can guarantee I will try to find a way to start another adventure. I love traveling so much that when I was in high school I studied abroad in Spain. There is so much that the world can teach you, the world is honestly a classroom. I also really enjoy photography, videography and finding unique ways to capture my point of view in this world. I am a strong believer of creativity and that each of us is blessed with the gift of creativity. I love seeing what others, along with my self are capable of creating. Look at how far our world has come from it!

Why I am a Mormon

I have been raised a Mormon my entire life, however, I have made the decision to stay a Mormon my whole life as well. There is no greater joy then feeling a peace of mind and heart within yourself and I can honestly say that this gospel brings me a peace of mind and a calmness to my soul. I love this church for so many different reasons. It is often an ongoing cliche about how people feel like they need the sea parted or have an angel come to prove to them that this church is true. I know in my heart we do not need these significant events to occur to know that this Church is true. You can feel it burning inside of you testifying through the Holy Ghost that it is. I haven't had a star aligning conversion experience, but when I have the absence of the gospel in my life the feelings of hurt, depression, and heart break are present. This church is perfect, the people aren't. That is why I am so blessed for the Atonement so we can be forgiven of our sins! It is such a joy to know that we believe in eternal families and that we can be together forever. If you desire a life of happiness, joy and peace I suggest checking it out. Life won't always seem perfect every moment but when you look back on life you can say that you felt great along the way.

How I live my faith

Life as a Mormon is not easy, the world has set a standard of ways to live that are contrary to what we believe. In today's society it is considered a normal thing to drink alcohol, smoke cigarettes, participate in drugs and to not wait for marriage to have sex. As a Mormon, I have been pressured to feel the world weighing me down to feel like I need those things to make me "happy." I know that by living with out those things I am able to live a happy life and do not have to be dependent on them. The church gives me feelings of peace, joy and comfort. The feelings I get from this gospel are indescribable. I love the church so much that I am going to serve a mission in New York New York . I am so excited to share the message of the gospel with the people that I come across, hoping that they too can find the happiness of the gospel.
