Hi I'm Sherilyn

I grew up in Washington state. I love life and learning new things. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I absolutely love reading books! The Lord of the Rings and Dante's Inferno are some of my favorites. I also enjoy playing sports which includes volleyball, soccer, basketball, and softball. I was attending college, but I put that on hold so that I can prepare to serve a full time mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church, so I do not have an amazing conversion story to share. But life has not always been easy, even though I was a member. My family has suffered a lot of losses, but I have never doubted my knowledge that God exists, and that He loves me more than I know. I know that families are forever, and that someday, I will see those loved ones that I had lost so long ago. I do not know exactly what my life would be like without this gospel, but I know that it would be so dark and dreary. But I have the gospel and I know that it is true! I love this gospel with all of my heart, and I am so grateful to be a member of a church so focused on Christ and centered around the family unit. I cannot nor will I ever deny the truth of the gospel for I know without a doubt that it is true, every single part of it.

How I live my faith

I love helping out on community service projects. There are literally dozens of different churches in my community, and it is nice to help represent the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints at these type of events. Right now my calling in the church is that of a ward missionary, which means I get to go out with the sister missionaries stationed in our ward and talk to the wonderful people in my community. I also get to visit people in my ward, especially those who are less active, and talk to them about their life and simply get to know them. There are so many wonderful people out there in the world, and all we have to do to make someone's day is as small and simple as to smile.
