Hi I'm Breanna

Student at Brigham Young University-Idaho. Currently studying Apparel and Design Construction. I am a Mormon :)

About Me

I love the great outdoors. Going camping with my family is always something I look forward to! I'm always up for an adventure. The greatest joy I know is the time spent with my family. I have found a new interest and talent in sewing. I hope to design my own line of modest clothing. I LOVE pizza. I enjoy classic movies--"Singing in the Rain".

Why I am a Mormon

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints gives my life purpose. I know that our Father in Heaven lives. He has created a plan for you and I, known as the Great Plan of Happiness. It is through this plan that we are able to be here on Earth to experience this mortal life. The family is central to His plan. Our happiness is at His best interest. He has offered us the greatest gift: His only Begotten Son, Jesus Christ. His love extends to all regardless of who you are, where you come from, past mistakes. His love is for YOU. The Savior has provided a way for us to change and become all we can, through His great sacrifice: the Atonement. The Gospel is centered upon His teachings. I know that families can be together forever through personal worthiness and binding covenants made within the temple. I love this Gospel and am a firm believer in Jesus Christ. I bear my testimony that the Savior lives, and that it is through Him that we are able to return and live with our Heavenly Father forever.

How I live my faith

I live my faith as I share the light of Christ through my actions. I wear a gold medallion necklace with the Salt Lake Temple engraved on it. I received this necklace after my completion of the program,"Personal Progress"; established for young women ages 12-18. (It's similar to the Eagle Scout award). Personal Progress has helped shape me to be the woman I am today. My faith in Jesus Christ has deepened, I have cultivated my talents, built new friendships, developed homemaking skills, and a greater understanding of my infinite worth. I wear my young women's medallion to remind myself of my personal purity and purpose. In wearing this necklace, I have been able to share my beliefs with those not of my faith.

What blessings can you receive from reading the Book of Mormon, the Bible, and other scriptures?

In reading the Book of Mormon, I have received comfort and reassurance through the words/testimonies of past Prophets. I have gained an understanding of why I am here on Earth, what my purpose is, and the importance of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. "Jesus Christ invites you to “feast” upon His words (The Book of Mormon, 2 Nephi 32:3). This means more than casually reading the scriptures. It means to study them, ponder them, compare verses, learn passages by heart, treasure them, delight in them." I know the Book of Mormon to be another testament of Jesus Christ. Along with the Bible, the Book of Mormon provides complete answers to questions you may have. I have experienced true joy in reading/studying the scriptures. Show more Show less
