Hi I'm Denny

I grew up in Florida. I'm a father, grandfather, and college basketball coach. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My passions include coaching basketball, fishing, enjoying nature, reading, and spending time with my family. I was raised in a very sports-minded family, and one of my favorite days of the year is Thanksgiving when we all fill up on turkey and NFL football! I love the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and I love to read about the early days of the Restoration. I am a huge fan of Joseph Smith. I admire him for his courage and valiance in the face of so much adversity.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a family of members, so being a Mormon has always been a way of life for me. I can't remember ever not having a testimony of the divinity of our Savior Jesus Christ, the prophet Joseph Smith, or the Book of Mormon. However, there was a point in my life where I made a covenant with God - my Heavenly Father - to live the Gospel and abide by its precepts. This has become the definition of who I am. Through daily communicative prayer with Heavenly Father, the strengthening and enabling power of the Atonement of Jesus Christ, and the constant companionship of His Spirit, the Holy Ghost, I can accomplish all things and live a life full of joy and happiness.

How I live my faith

I live in an area where there is a great deal of poverty and underemployment. I am blessed with abundance, and I wish to do all I can to ease the burdens of those in need. This was the mission of our Savior, and while I am deficient in so many ways, my desire is to serve Him by serving others and following His example.
