Hi I'm Michael

I'm from Vacaville, CA. I am a missionary in Argentina. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I have been called to serve a mission in Comodoro Rivadavia, Argentina on July 2, 2014 to July 2016. After that I will be attending undergraduate school at Brigham Young University in Provo, UT. I am from Vacaville, CA and went to a Catholic high school called Justin-Siena in Napa, CA. I enjoy leadership, tennis, wrestling, and science, specifically neuroscience . I received the honor of becoming an Eagle Scout on January 31, 2014 and am proud of it!

Why I am a Mormon

I know the answers to life's unanswerable questions because I have felt the spirit testify the truth of them myself. I encourage everyone to ask The Lord in faith for the same answer. Heavenly Father promises am answer to us in Moroni 10:3-5. I know families can be together forever and that God wants us to return to Him as a part of His heavenly family. I know that I can and will be happiest in this life by following the commandments of The Lord exactly.

How I live my faith

I have been an active member of the Church in Vacaville since I was a kid. Now I am serving The Lord for a period of 24 months because I know my Heavenly Father loves me and I want to share that message with the world.

How is the Book of Mormon different from the Bible? How did Joseph Smith obtain the “golden plates” or Book of Mormon?

Michael
The Book of Mormon is a compilation of scripture intended to provide another testament of The Lord, Jesus Christ. It was written by prophets in about the same time frame as the Old Testament. In fact, we believe one of the prophets from Jerusalem was told in a vision to sail to the Americas in order to avoid Babylonian captivity because of the wickedness of the Jews at that time. There he guided his posterity to look to The Lord in all things and to look forward to His coming. The crowning moment of the Book of Mormon is when Jesus Christ visited His people in America, as prophesied of in John 10:16. We believe that the Book of Mormon and the Bible together give us the fullness of the everlasting gospel and the concepts that we need to ponder and ask our Father in Heaven with real sincerity to know the truthfulness of them. This is how we gain a sure testimony of God, His divinity, and of Jesus Christ. Show more Show less
