Hi I'm Jameson

I am an artist. Raccoons are my favorite animal. I love the Beatles. And I am a Mormon

About Me

I am a college student at BYU. I am just trying to find my place in life. It can be hard in such a competitive world. Sometime I wonder if I will ever make it. I was surprised I got into BYU at all. I transferred from another university which I think helped me get into here in the first place, but things are still uncertain for me. Often times I feel like I may not be good enough even if I do get into the programs I want to get into here. I am like anybody else who has these fears but often times I feel like I'm the only one. For me however I want to see the good in things and I know that the Lord is on my side. What I really have to ask myself is do I have the faith that the Lord will see me through.

Why I am a Mormon

I guess this question should say why do I continue to be a Mormon since I was born into the church. I continue because I know there is something different and better about this church. If there wasn't then it would be like any other building you go to to worship God on Sunday. I mean that I have seen people change because of this church just by being here. I have seen being gain light as they find God in other faiths, but to my surprise they find something more here. I can't really explain it. It's like they were good people before, but now there is something great that has come into their lives. I know this sounds kind of vain from your point of view but as I have seen a few that left and lost that light and their situation becomes worse I can only think that this church has to have something that others don't.

How I live my faith

I help organize the Ward programs for church. It's the paper that gets handed out right before sacrament meeting that tells who is speaking and what songs are being sung. I could make it as ordinary and generic as any other program, but I like to have fun with it. I try to have something funny each week for people to enjoy. I love seeing the light in people's eyes as they are looking over it. It makes me feel like in some small way that I am serving the Lord by making things just a tad bit brighter for those who may have had a tough week.
