Hi I'm Ellen Cooper Brown

I grew up in Tacoma and still live in the beautiful Puget Sound region. I work in education. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a daughter, a sister, a wife and a mother. I have always liked working with children and currently work as a paraeducator in a special needs program for elementary children. I love to read historical novels, especially if they have a time-travel twist.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a convert to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I grew up attending church, sought for answers to my questions over my adult years and learned much about my Father in Heaven and my Savior Jesus Christ. What I could not find was a congregation/church that felt right to me. I was invited by my son to attend a service at his LDS church (he had become a member a few years earlier) and I felt a strong sense of "rightness" that Sunday. I met with the Missionaries and felt a true sense of belonging when I started attending this church. When I became a member I felt I had come home - I had found what I had been looking for. I enjoy learning more about my Heavenly Father and my Savior and developing a close personal relationship with them. My Heavenly Father has truly blessed me.

How I live my faith

I help with the Young Women program and actively seek opportunities to be of service to these girls, other members of the church, my friends, neighbors and my community.
