Hi I'm Kenzie

I am a missionary: a representative of Jesus Christ, and this gospel. I love music and to travel! I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a nursing student, who is taking a break from school to serve a mission for the church in Portugal for 18 months. I have never loved this gospel more, and been more excited to share it with others. I love missionary work, and seeing others come unto Christ, and accept his gospel. I love to read, particularly fiction! I love to travel! I hope to travel to every state, and somewhere in every continent in my lifetime. My favorite color is yellow. Music is a big part of me. It has always been something I can relate to, and I feel closer to the spirit when I am listening to good music.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the gospel, but like many of us had to go through my own journey to find out if I personally knew the church was true. I came to the realization at a young age, that I couldn’t rely on my parents testimonies or the testimonies of those around me to know of these things. Through sincere prayer and the true desire to know, I came to know that this is the true church. Simply: I am a Mormon, because I know this church is true. I know that Joseph Smith saw God the Father, and Jesus Christ in the sacred grove. I know that the Book of Mormon is true, and that as we study it we will gain knowledge of the things Heavenly Father wants us to know. I know the temple is the house of the Lord, and as we attend we will feel peace and close to Heavenly Father. I know Jesus Christ is our savior, and atoned for each of us, so we can return to live with our families, and Father in Heaven once again. This gospel brings me such joy, and a sense of belonging. I know that I am a child of God.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by striving to be the best person I can, every day. I try and learn something new about the gospel everyday, so that I can continually be progressing in my knowledge of this gospel. I remain worthy to enter the temple, so that I can be closer to my Heavenly Father. I refrain from any foul language, or partaking or things that are harmful to my body. I want others to see that I respect my body by dressing modestly and doing what Heavenly Father has asked of me. I do all these things out of my choice, not because they are "rules". I want others to know that I am a representative of Christ through my words, actions, and the light they see in me.

Are Mormons Christians?

Mormons are absolutely christians. The actual title of our church is "The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints." Even in our title we explain that we believe and teach under Christ. Our purpose as a church is to learn about and from the teachings of Christ, and for us each to gain a testimony and understanding of Him and all He accomplished on this earth. We bare his name in all things. We end every prayer in his name. We acknowledge Christ as the only begotten son of God, and as the savior of all mankind upon this earth. We also study and learn from the Book of Mormon which is "another testament of Jesus Christ." We strive every day as members of this church, to be representatives of Christ, and to let others know that we believe and honor these things. Show more Show less

What will the Mormon missionaries talk about when they visit my home?

Mormon missionaries when they come to your home will share a message to you that is centered on Jesus Christ and his teachings. They will help you to come to an understanding of Heavenly Father's commandments, and what he wants us to accomplish in this life, and the life hereafter. They will help to answer any questions you have about the gospel, and anything that you may have heard that has caused speculation. The purpose of missionaries is to: invite others to come unto Christ by helping them receive the restored gospel through faith in Jesus Christ and His Atonement, repentance, baptism, receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost, and enduring to the end. So they will do anything they can for you, to help achieve those five things. Show more Show less
