Hi I'm Steve

I'm a lifelong Mormon, whose travels and life experiences have continued to deepen my faith.

About Me

I'm a husband, dad and step-dad. I like to putter around the yard, the house, and especially the kitchen. I write a little, read a little, and travel not nearly as much as I'd like. Having lived in France for two years (serving an LDS mission), in Alaska for 16 years, and Utah for the rest of my half-century, I'm continually amazed by and grateful for the diversity of the beauty our Father created for us.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I have sought and developed a personal testimony of and relationship with a loving Heavenly Father. I have found the peace that comes from praying to Him, listening to Him, and following His teachings. I have experienced the confusion and the pain that the world offers, and am grateful for the mission and the atonement of Jesus Christ that provides guidance through that confusion, relief from that worldly pain, and the promise of an eternal life with my family and my God.

How I live my faith

I've been blessed to serve in many ways, with all different kinds of groups. Currently I work most directly with young men and women who are serving as full-time missionaries in our area. I am inspired by their faith, their dedication, and their joyful sacrifice as they share the good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ. They help me want to be a better friend, neighbor, and son of God.
