Hi I'm Paola

I grew up in sunny, southern California. I love playing Water Polo ...and I love being a Mormon!

About Me

I am about to serve a mission in the great country of Peru! I love sports! My favorites are: water polo, volleyball, soccer, and swimming. I'm the opposite of a cat when it comes to water; I hate drinking it, but I love being in it. I am Mexican-American, which I'm eternally grateful for because I get the best of both worlds when it comes to food. I LOVE food! I also enjoy reading, eating, shopping(online), playing with makeup, eating, listening to music, and writing. Oh, and eating! I went to Santa Ana College for about a year and a half. I worked at their Career Center helping students find jobs, which was a pretty cool experience. I'm currently working at a warehouse, shipping vegetables, which beats eating them.

Why I am a Mormon

Being a part of this gospel has blessed me with friends, peace, and happiness. One of my favorite things about being a Mormon is that anywhere I go, if I meet someone that's also a member of this church, we're like immediately best friends. :D This gospel has not only blessed me, it's also blessed my family immensely. It's brought us together and formed a close bond between us. Even when we're not completely happy with each other, going to church and church activities together has always made us forget each others wrongdoings and become friends all over again. This gospel has taught us the truth about why we are here on this earth and what the plan is for us. I always kind of had the feeling that this gospel was true, but it wasn't until I started working on my mission paperwork that I truly understood the Lord's hand in our lives. I am so grateful that I know of His merciful plan for us to return to live with Him for eternity, together with our families. Please ask me for more information if you are interested in learning more because I would hate for anyone to miss out of this great opportunity!

How I live my faith

I was born and raised in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I was baptized when I was 8 years old, and I'm super happy for my decision. I currently have three callings in my church ward. I am the ward chorister, which is just a fancy way of saying that I lead the music on Sundays for the congregation. (they couldn't sing without me, so it's a pretty important calling, if you ask me. ;] Just kidding! they could totally sing without me) I am also a nursery leader, which means I get to learn from the humility and innocence of little kids whose ages range from 18 months old through 3 years old. And to finish my calling list off, I am also a Beehive Adviser, which is an incredibly cool way of saying I teach young ladies ages 12-14. :) I absolutely love my callings!
