Hi I'm Cheyenne Lynnae

I started a Christ centered dance academy for underprivileged children, I'm an author, a blogger, a big sister, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Like you, I'm a child of God. I'm unique, and special, and so are you dear reader! I love to write, and I am an avid reader. I used to be a ballet, jazz, and hip hop dancer and dance teacher. I love music, movie scores, classic jazz, Two Door Cinema club, alternative, as well as a bit from nearly every other genre. When I eat I have to make sure that I have something both salty and sweet to alternate between. I am a bit of a romantic, although you wouldn't know it by how logical I can be at times. I believe that love is at the base of everything good in the universe and is infinitely powerful. Just look at Christ's love for us as proof! :) I adore regency era customs and ideals (think Jane Austen). I'm passionate about finding patterns throughout history, and love to make predictions. I love to write novels, and I LOVE LOVE LOVE going to the movies (I seriously adore it). I really like to help people, but when I do I can be a bit bold and scare them off. I'm an INFP according to the Myers-Briggs personality test. I'm one quarter Hispanic and one twenty sixth Navajoo - Paiute. I'm the eldest in a family of four children, and there is a fourteen year age gap between my youngest sibling and I! I love little children, and I love to cook.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because through many hours of study, prayer, and through many many occasions of feeling the spirit...I gained a testimony. I am a Mormon because I love the gospel. I'm a Mormon because I love God, and I love how close I feel to Him as well as my Savior through these teachings. I'm a Mormon because I love the standards in the church, because I love the Book of Mormon, The Bible, and all the scriptures we have. I'm a Mormon because I know without a single doubt-that last more than a small second-that this gospel, this Church, this lifestyle, and The Book of Mormon is true. Because I know all of it is true, and I love it as well as my Heavenly Father, and Jesus Christ, with all my heart.

How I live my faith

I write a blog called Mutual Insanity, where I talk about the things that I'm up to in life, and post ideas for youth and youth leaders. I like to make people around me happy which can be both a bad and good thing. I go to church every week, and to institute. I try to grow closer to our Heavenly Father through prayer and through studying the Bible, Book of Mormon, and General Conference talks. I love to teach Praise dance classes, where I choreograph dances to Christian music and hymns and teach them to my students.

What are Mormon women like? Do Mormons believe in equality of men and women?

Cheyenne Lynnae
Mormon women are just like everyone else! In fact, our church teaches a lot about how men and women are equal. We are different yes, yet equal. It is the things that make us unique as men and women, that are so extremely divine and powerful. I believe that the best way to be a powerful, strong, capable woman is to embrace your own femininity. Because it is powerful, and because why try to be like Men? Be yourself and you can make so much more of a difference in the world. Like yin and yang, left and right, up and down, moon and sun, men and women are equal, are essential to each other, and if the sun tried to be like the moon and vice versa can you imagine the chaos? It's our differences that make us great, and I believe in embracing them. Our strengths balance each others weaknesses. Be yourself, be a woman, you are wonderful. Nurture and love and inspire! If you are a man, be yourself! Guide, and help, and protect, you are wonderful! We are equal, but different. We hold the same standing and the same rank, with different roles and responsibilities.
