Hi I'm Elder Ethan Brouwer

I am a citizen of the world, living all over it, and am now serving in the Russia Novosibrisk Mission. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm 18, currently serving a mission in Novosibrisk Russia teaching and helping the Russian people in their native language. I have worked as a part time computer programmer and sysadmin, as well as a part time computer science student at UVU. I am a computer nerd, and I love it! I hope to someday be building "the next big thing". (If you catch my drift) I love British TV shows, especially Doctor Who and BBC Sherlock. I also love to watch Psych, White Collar, and other movies and TV shows on Netflix in my spare time. I also play lots of games. I love the Portal Series, the Bioshock Series, Stanley Parable, and many more. I have lived all over the world, including 3 years near Zurich, Switzerland, and 4 1/2 years in Brisbane, Australia, and I have loved ever second of it.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church, meaning my parents were members and have brought me up living the gospel since I was born, still there have been many challenges to my faith. I am a Mormon, because it gives me the truest and fullest answer to how I repent. It gives me an unlimited amount of opportunities to repent of my sins and return to my Father in Heaven. I am also a Mormon, and continue to be a member of Christ's restored church here on Earth, because my testimony, and faith, and belief, and knowledge, is rooted in him, in Christ and his words in the Book of Mormon. Because of that, nothing can shake me. There is nothing that can move me when I have a firm foundation in Christ and in his wonderful words. I am grateful for what the Church means to me and the happiness and amazing joyous feeling I get from being a part of it. And I want to share that with everyone. That is why I am a Mormon. Because I love the Lord my God.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving the people of Russia in their language in the Russia Novosibirsk Mission. I live my faith in everything I do, as I serve the Lord here on a full-time 2 year mission in Novosibrisk, Russia and I try to use my example, faith, and knowledge of the scriptures as well as my love for the people to bring them to their eternal salvation. Every Month I try to visit two families with my Father for our monthly home teaching visits. We visit with one family who's daughter is also serving a mission in Portland Oregon, who are a special part of my life. As well as an older man who just lost his wife to Cancer and is a great inspiration to me. I cherish our meetings every month, and look forward to talking with him about his amazing life story, and his love for big band jazz and nice cars, especially the nice, shiny new Tesla in his garage.
