Hi I'm Joshua

I'm the 3rd son in my family and have a younger sister. I'm in High School. I love to run, sing, read, and watch movies.

About Me

There are six in my family, and all of us have one shade of red hair or another. Besides my mom and dad, there are three boys and a girl. I'm the third boy. I was born with autism but I am highly functional in school and community activities. I love to run long distance, and am on my High School cross country and track & field teams. I also love to sing and am in my High School and church choirs. When I have a hard time going to sleep I read my scriptures. I also like to read books about adventures. On the weekend I relax by watching movies with my family and friends. I especially like to watch action movies.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in a family where my parents were already members of the Church. I was baptized at the age of eight when I understood enough about the Gospel to make a promise to do my best to live it. I am beginning to develop my own testimony about the Savior and His restored Gospel and Church. I have enjoyed the friends I have made in Church. They are good examples to me and accept me for who I am even though I'm different. The Gospel teaches that we are all brothers and sisters and should love one another. I feel this love when I go to Church and am with my friends there.

How I live my faith

I'm a boy scout and the teachings of my church and the things I learn in scouting go hand in hand. Every day I look for opportunities to help others and to serve in the community. During the school year I start out my mornings going to seminary where a group of youth read and learn from the scriptures. This helps me to remember to make good choices during the day and be a good example to others. At the end of most days my family and I read from the scriptures or church magazines and have family prayer. Every Sunday I attend church and help out with the sacrament. I also attend Sunday school class and my priesthood quorum meetings. Finally, once a month my dad and I visit several families from our congregation and help them with things they need.
