Hi I'm Megan

I am a student at BYU, I like sports, my favorite color is orange, and I love to laugh. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Utah, but spent half of my childhood in Idaho. I have one older sister, and three younger brothers. It's always a good time when we are together! I play soccer, and I love to exercise! I enjoy watching sports, especially basketball. I am a huge Texas Longhorns fan! I attend BYU where I am studying athletic training, in hopes of becoming a physical therapist. I love learning about the human body, and I hope to be able to one day help people to recover from various injuries. One of my favorite things about life is the ability to laugh! I find happiness in providing comical relief for others. I love watching funny movies and sharing Laffy Taffy jokes with my family and friends. I have decided to take a year and a half off of school to serve the Lord as a full time missionary in the Sweden Stockholm mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have a testimony of Joseph Smith and the restored gospel. I was raised in the LDS church. My parents taught me about the gospel and I learned to read from the Book of Mormon. When I was a teenager, I wondered if what I had been taught was really true. In Moroni 10:3-5, we are told that if we read, ponder, and pray we will receive an answer. I read through the entire Book of Mormon and one night I prayed to my Heavenly Father and asked if what I had learned about my entire life was true. A few days later I felt the Holy Ghost testify to me of the truth of all things. I know that there is a God and that he loves each and every one of us. We are never alone, Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ are always there for us. They are always willing to help us, all we have to do is ask. Following the commandments given to us brings great blessings. These blessings make me so happy. I believe that education is very important. It is important to learn and grow because we get to take our knowledge with us after this life. I know that the Book of Mormon is another testament of Christ, and that it goes hand in hand with the Bible. I believe that families will be together forever. Heavenly Father has given us a plan to follow while on this earth. If we are willing and obey the commandments, then we will be blessed with the companionship of our families even after we die. I know that Jesus died on the cross so that we could have the opportunity to repent of our wrongdoings and be forgiven. I love being a part of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, it gives me great joy!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by attending church meetings each Sunday. When I am at church I learn many things. Some of my favorite things that we talk about are how to be happy, and how families can be together forever. I also live my faith by service. I enjoy helping others when they are in need because it makes them happy, and happiness is contagious. When I help others I feel like I am becoming the person that my Heavenly Father wants me to be. I have an enormous amount of faith in the Lord. I pray daily, and follow promptings that I feel from the Holy Ghost. Although I cannot see my Heavenly Father or the Holy Ghost, I know that they are with me every day. I'm never alone.
