Hi I'm Ed

I am Chinese-American. I am a family doctor. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I was a convert to Mormonism at the age of 26 while attending medical school. My wife is from Taiwan and was a convert at the age of 17 while attending high school in Ogden, Utah. We have 3 grown children. I am a family doctor specializing in geriatric medicine.

Why I am a Mormon

While attending medical school, I started to feel a spiritual emptiness that I had felt as a teenager. I met friends in my classes who happened to be members of the Mormon faith. I was drawn to them by their good humor and generally happy perspective in life. I started attending church with them. After studying the Book of Mormon and the principles of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and after much prayer, I experienced over and over again that what I was learning was in fact true. I was baptized on May 23, 1980. My faith and testimony has been growing ever since.

How I live my faith

My wife and I attend an LDS church in our neighborhood. We spend much of our Sunday worship providing leadership support in a local Chinese-speaking branch of the Church.
