Hi I'm Mason

I grew up in Alberta Canada. I love my family and playing sports. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am from a small family of 5. I have a Mom and Dad who love me and two brothers, one older and one younger. My family has moved around all over Alberta in the short time I have been alive, and as a result I am really close to both of my brothers. It may sound lame to some people but they really are my best friends. When I was younger all 3 of us got involved with sports. Between school and club teams I have played volleyball, basketball, badminton, track, cross country, rugby and football; however, I love playing any sport just for fun. Other than sports I love reading novels as well as studying my scriptures. My favourite subject in school is probably chemistry...or maybe bio. I also really love eating pizza. I really love my family as well as the church.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I believe all that I have been taught is true, it's that simple. When I was younger it was sometimes hard for me to understand everything that my parents and church leaders would teach me, but I learned that the best way to learn the truth of the doctrines I was being taught was to live them. In John 7:17 it says "If any man will do his will he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God or whether it be of myself." Through obeying the commandments that the Lord has provided for me I have come to realize the truth that is the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I have studied the Book of Mormon and I have prayed to know if it is true, the answer I received was yes, it is true, and it does testify of Jesus Christ. The Church of Jesus Christ has been restored to this earth and is lead by a living prophet to this day. I am glad to say that I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

Through youth activities as well as community involvement I have had tons of opportunities to serve the people around me, this is how I live my faith. I know that God wants me to show love towards all of His children and the best way I can do that is through serving others, whether that is shovelling snow or helping set up for events I enjoy helping. As with all other young men over the age of 14 I have been assigned as a hometeacher in the ward. I, along with my companion have learned to love the members of the families i visit each month and they have become a part of my life. Along with all of this I have recently been called to serve a two year mission in the Peru Lima South Mission. During this time I will be inviting all that I meet to learn about Jesus Christ and invite them to come unto Him and learn about all that He has done for everyone that has lived, is living, or will live on this earth.
