Hi I'm Erin

I am a runner, an avid napper, a lover of ice cream. I am the world's happiest newlywed, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a small town. I spent a lot of my time there actively involved with my high school's student government as well as single-handedly keeping the local Dairy Queen in business. My dad helped instill in me a love of running, and over the years I've been lucky enough to finish both a half and a full marathon. I'm not sure who instilled in me a love of clogging, but it honestly makes me so happy. These days I'm a Recreation Management major at Brigham Young University. I spent one semester away from BYU working at Disneyworld, but my favorite college experience so far happened in February 2014 when I married my best friend.

Why I am a Mormon

Having been born and raised as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints I honestly find it interesting and amazing that I have never once questioned my testimony of this Gospel. I have always felt safety, comfort, and peace in this Church. I am a Mormon because I believe this is the true church and the true Gospel of Jesus Christ restored on the earth. I know Heavenly Father, my Savior Jesus Christ, and the Holy Ghost are three real, separate, living beings. I know Christ lived a perfect life on this earth, then suffered and died for the sins and pains of every other human who has or ever will live. I know Christ was resurrected and that because of His precious gift I can repent of my mistakes and return to live with Him again. I know our Heavenly Father loves us enough to bless us with a living prophet on the earth today to guide Christ's church and His followers. I know the Book of Mormon is a true account, written and preserved so that today we can have a second written witness of Jesus Christ's life and message. I know Christ has restored His Priesthood on the earth and that through it I can receive all the ordinances and blessings needed to gain eternal salvation. I know through His Priesthood that my family can be together for eternity. I don't know all these things, and so much more, based on hardly any facts. I know these things are true because I choose to believe all of them. This is my testimony because I feel the truth of it all and I feel the love of my Father in Heaven and my Savior when I live the way this Gospel teaches me to live.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by incorporating it into my every day life. My husband and I have grown so much closer - and continue to do so - as we study scriptures and pray together each day. Knowing we share the same values and beliefs provides unmatched comfort in our marriage. Together we teach the twelve-year-old Sunday School class at church every week. It strengthens my faith to teach such bright kids and try my best to answer their thought-provoking questions.
