Hi I'm Trenna

I'm a mother of two. I love to read and write. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to read almost anything, particularly fantasy stories, or anything based on fairy tales. I am also an aspiring writer. Baking (and eating) cakes, cookies, breads, and anything else delicious is one of my passions. Playing with my two adorable children is another. I completed my bachelor's degree about six months after my son was born, and now I spend my days raising him and my baby girl while my husband finishes school online and works building houses.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because everything this church teaches resonates deep within my soul. I know that I am a child of God. I know that Jesus Christ loves me, suffered for my sins, and died so that I may live again. I have seen the blessings that come from living a righteous life, and the pain that comes from sin. The teachings in the Book of Mormon, along with those in the Bible, help me to better understand the Atonement and to strive to be a better person. I am a Mormon because of the peace I feel when I study the gospel and come to better understand the Lord's plan for his children.

How I live my faith

I live my faith everyday by teaching my children about how to live good lives. I read scripture stories to my son every night, trying to teach him about the love that Jesus Christ has for him and for all of us. During the day I try to emulate those virtues by being polite and kind to my children and everyone I come in contact with. I strive to help others and to share the love that God has for them simply by being a good person.

Are Mormons Christians?

Trenna
The only answer I can give to that question is a resounding "Yes!" We are Christians. We believe in Jesus Christ, the Son of God, the Savior of the world. His Atonement is the very foundation of our religion, the key to God's plan of salvation for his children. I grew up singing songs titled "I'm Trying to be like Jesus" and "I feel the Savior's love". Now as a Mother I strive to teach my children about Christ, and to live a Christ-centered life. I believe that makes me a Christian by any reasonable definition of the word. Show more Show less
