Hi I'm McKayla

I'm a Mormon, an identical twin, an avid fisher woman, a wife and the expert at making White Chili!

About Me

My name is McKayla. I have been married for almost a year to my best friend. I lived in Quito, Ecuador for 19 months on a full time religious mission. In Ecuador I lived on the beach, at the edge of an active volcano and right on the equator. I am a college graduate from the Marriott School of Business. I am an event planner. I love surprises, details and creating large scale productions. I am an avid fisher-woman. My hobbies include relaxing in my hammock (I keep 2 hammocks in my car at all times). I love to garden, attend my spinning class, and learn new culinary recipes. I love life, speaking Spanish and soaking up the sun!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints because I know that this church is the only true church of Christ. I know that Jesus Christ is my Savior and that He loves me and wants me to be happy. I have come to know that I will never be perfect in this life, but that I can still find joy a midst my struggles and difficulties. I know that Love is real. And I feel so loved and cared for by my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. I know that every person on the earth is a child of Heavenly Father and that He wants them to feel wanted and loved and I believe that being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints helps me to spread God's love. To look for opportunities to serve. In essence, I am a Mormon because I know that Christ's gospel will help me become a better person and will give me all the joy and peace in life that I need.

How I live my faith

Currently I work with the young women of my ward, Girls ages 12-18. My focus is to help them recognize their full potential as daughters of God and to help them understand more about Jesus Christ as their Savior. Working with the youth of the church is exhilarating! There is always so much energy and so much to keep track of with social media! I am also a ward missionary and work together with the full time missionaries to visit and teach gospel principles to my neighbors and community.
