Hi I'm Monica

I was born and raised in south east Idaho. I am a stay at home mom, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a full time mommy, and I love it! I wake up every morning to "mom I want some fruit loops!" , and spend my day wiping sticky faces, changing dirty diapers, and picking up the same toy 300 times. When I do find the time I absolutely love to do crafty things! I am an avid crochet-er and almost nothing else calms me like sitting down with my hooks and crocheting. I am also a musician. I started playing the trumpet when I was in 7th grade, and continued into a college music program after high school. Now that I'm married and have a family we love to spend time together playing games and doing things outside. We are HUGE fans of camping, my kids beg all winter long to go camping, so we have set up our tent in our family room a few times. We also are into hiking, fishing, swimming, four wheelers and dirt bikes.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because, it is the only thing in this crazy world that gives me hope and peace. I was born and raised in the church my whole life, but I have learned and gained my own testimony of the truthfulness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. His plan for us, the Plan of Salvation, has helped me to understand life, and to push through hard times and feel peace and joy in the knowledge of eternal families. Having a prophet here on the earth today to give us modern revelation and guidance in an increasingly evil world, and being able to kneel down and ask my Father in Heaven for help whenever I need it, is something I could not imagine life without. I'm a Mormon because of the warm, burning, undeniable confirmation I have received from the Holy Ghost, the spirit of The Lord, that this is His church restored on the earth today.

How I live my faith

I absolutely love serving in the church! I have worked a lot with the young kids, teaching them in Sunday school. I also have loved working with the young women in the church. Preparing lessons for Sundays and also organizing wholesome weekly activities that the youth can participate in. A huge part of how I try and live my faith, is by making sure I actively teach my kids each day. We say prayers at every meal, and at bedtime. We like to hold Family Home Evening once a week where we have a short lesson for the kids and sing primary songs with them. Then my husband and I have scripture study together each night after the kids are in bed. In addition to these things, I try every day to be better, and more like my savior, Jesus Christ.
