Hi I'm Marijke

I was born and raised in he Netherlands immigrated to the USA. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I love to sew, do crafts. And love to work out at the gym working out makes me feel good and keeps me healthy. I have three grown children that have their own families, I love doing thing with and for my kids especially my grandkids. I like to play golf with my husband and like to travel

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because there was a time in my life that I was doing ok, had a good job ,a family and overall doing well. But I felt there was something missing in my life. I started to watch the evangelist shows on TV, that helped me decide what it was I was missing. When I was a child my family was active in the catholic church, I remember going to church every morning before school. My oldest son was dating a girl that was a Mormon. And I know some people that are Mormons, and they seemed to be happy and content with their life. My son went on a mission and I stated to read the bible. You know the Lord works in ways to always help us. He told me to read the book of Mormon along with the bible. So I did, and through asking if what I was reading was true I found what had been missing for a long time. I love the gospel, to have the gift of the Holy ghost with me keeps me on the straight path, and the gospel makes me happy, and knowing of the love that our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ have for me I'm never alone. I know in my heart that if I do what the Gospel teaches I will make it back to live with Him again.

How I live my faith

Teaching the children the gospel is my favorite. I like to participate in the activities that are family oriented . visiting the sisters in the ward is very rewarding and builds strong friendships. And to get to know the people in the neighborhood and ward is fun. Its amazing when you find out how much we all have in common.
