Hi I'm Jordan

My name is Jordan, I love the journey of life and am so blessed to have the family I have, and I am a Mormon.

About Me

As a growing boy I have always been the type of kid that would run all day and sleep all night. Today I couldn't stop running if I wanted to. I love being outdoors whether its hiking, biking, playing soccer, swimming, skiing, boating, or even just laying around. I have always loved the clarity of fresh air and the warmth of the sun. As I am now a legal adult much of my running includes rushing to my job at the library or speeding through my studies but I still find time to enjoy the wonders of this world. In a short time I will be departing on a plane from my home in Washington and journeying to El Salvador in order to spend two years of my life serving the people of this region, my excitement is such that can not be described through words, and since I'm no musician or artist you will just have to trust that I am thrilled to go!

Why I am a Mormon

Since I was old enough to remember I have been attending the Mormon church, but that is not why I attend at all. I attend church faithfully every week because I took the time to kneel down and pray to my Heavenly Father in faith, to know if this church is true. I don't remember everything about that moment but I could never forget the feeling that overtook me as I prayed. I am not a Mormon because my parents expect me to be, nor am I a Mormon to appease my friends, I am a Mormon because I know that this religion carries the fullness of the everlasting Gospel, the Gospel of Christ, and that through this church I can get nearer to my God, and to my Savior Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

As a member of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints I live my faith day in and day out through my actions. With Christ at the center of my religion he has become the image I constantly strive for. He is perfect, and though I won't be perfect in this lifetime I try to follow the example of Christ as I interact with others. Christ is so loving and so charitable, like him I love spending time in service to those I know whether that be replacing a roof or smiling on the sidewalk. I also have a deep love for studying the words of my Savior found in holy scripture. Everyday I take time to pray to my father in heaven and to read about his son, Jesus Christ. As I have done so I have felt my purpose in life increase and my feeling of peace increase.
