Hi I'm Jim Sanderson

I grew up in California and now live in Washington state. I joined the Mormon church 35 years ago. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have 7 children, 15 grandchildren and and 2 great-grandchildren. I'm retired, which gives me a lot of time to do two of my most favorite things. Skiing and golf. I worked in the baking business for 30 years and it provided my family a great living. I love working in my yard and even though I'm 68, I still like to work out at the gym at least 4-5 times a week. I have a great life, filled with joy.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it is the true gospel on this earth. It has changed my life. I have great joy because of the gospel. It helps me to be the best person I want to be. When you do good works, it only helps you want to do more. I think The Lord wants each of us to do all we can to live the truth, obey the commandments and help other people find the truth. I want all people to come to know Christ as I have through the Mormon Church. I am happy and have great joy in my life. It is hard to explain how it can change a person but that is what happened to me. I hope you will learn for yourself how you can become a better person and have great joy in your life through the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

How I live my faith

I have been a member of the Church for many years now. I was 32 when I joined the Church with my wife. Over the years I have taught Sunday School, worked with our youth and have home taught many families. I have always enjoyed doing these things and look forward to continue to do so for many more years. I find helping and working with people is very rewarding and makes me feel good when I can help someone. I look forward to attending Church each Sunday and visiting people during the week. Being able to take Sacrament each week and renew my covenants with The Lord helps me to be the very best person I can.

What is the First Vision?

Jim Sanderson
I believe Joseph saw God The Father and His Son, Jesus Christ. Because of this great experience the gospel was restored to the earth and we all have an opportunity to learn it and live it. If you pray about this and ask with a sincere heart if this is true you will have a witness that it is. The gospel will change your life for the better and will bring great joy. Show more Show less
