Hi I'm Denise Anderson

I grew up in Utah. I'm married and have 7 children between the two of us with 14 Grand children. Worked at Smith's

About Me

I am a mother of three one son and two daughters ages 30,31,33. I am also grandmother of fourteen grandchildren between my husband and I. My hobbies are boating, playing tennis, golf, and bowling, and going shopping for whatever. I love to shop online and in stores. I began a wedding business in 2010 and love decorating events.

Why I am a Mormon

I was baptized a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints at 8 but my family was never active members. I remember occasionally going to mutual with a girlfriend across the street from me but that was pretty much all I knew of the church. I have had a few failed marriages, but now married to my best friend and partner. Our life together in the beginning was pretty much filled with drama, stress, and unhappiness, we had even thought of just ending our lives at times. We knew something was missing or needed to change or we were not going to make, so we began going to church in about 2008 not long after my mother passed away then my father. It was then I really wanted to know where they were,if I could ever see the again, or if there was life after death? We began just going to sacrament, sitting in the very back of the chapel, each time we had gone we were filled with spirits and emotions. this went on for about 3 to 6 months then we set up an appointment with the bishop about going through the temple. he said first of all we would need to start of going to all of our meetings, so we did reluctantly at first and a year later we were sealed in the temple. Currently I am still the only active member of my siblings, but since I have become active my son was ordained with the priesthood and was able to baptize his three beautiful kids, and soon will be married and sealed to his family for time and all eternity. Since my sons conversion one of my daughters has returned to church and has gained a testimony of the church, I hope upon my return home from our mission she will also have the desire to be sealed with her husband and son for time and all eternity as well. I still have one daughter not quite there but I have faith that in time she will also come to love the church and the gospel as we have. I am so thankful for the change of heart and the peace that heavenly father has let me experience and would not change my life for anything.

How I live my faith

Currently in my ward I am the Relief Society Secretary. This has been a challenging but rewarding experience. I have always wanted to involved in a great group or organization. There could not be a better women's organization to ever be apart of than this. I have also had the opportunity and privilege to be apart of are 2nd counselor in the Primary and 2nd counselor in the Young Women's, when asked upon I help out in most ward events set-up and or decorating. I visit teach three wonderful sisters each month and share a gospel message with them. I/we try and invite non-members over for dinners at least once a month to share the gospel with them as well.
