Hi I'm Monika

I am the mother of six children. I have traveled in the US, Mexico, Canada, Cayman Islands and Jamaica . I am a Mormon.

About Me

I like to make chocolates, decorate cakes, read, and travel. My dad worked for the airlines and we were able to travel a lot. I also spent my summers in Montana and loved to be outside. We have adopted two older children from foster care. We are so blessed to get to have them in our lives. I love to spend time with my family. We love to take our trailer and go camping, the kids love the trailer parks with swimming pools and modern bathrooms. We also like to take our family out once a month for an activity or dinner, kids choice.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was eighteen, I decided that I wanted to know for myself what church was true. I was raised in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, also known as the Mormon church. I prayed and read the Book of Mormon in earnest. I also searched my soul and found that I already believed in certain things. I knew that I had a Heavenly Father that loved me and knew me. I knew that prayer was real, that my prayers were heard and answered. I knew that Jesus Christ had come to earth. I then decided to take one belief or concept that my church taught and to read about it, pray about it, and live it. As I did this I started to gain a testimony or knowledge that that belief or principle was true. I then would pick another belief and start the process again. It took me a year doing this to be able to say that I knew the Church of Jesus Christ was true. Each day I still continue to pray, read and study. I don't ever want to lose the testimony I gained. I also feel much closer to my Heavenly Father as a take time each day to study His words and to talk to Him in prayer.

How I live my faith

I find that raising five teenagers is rewarding, but so mentally and emotionally exhausting. I turn to God in prayer to help me know how to raise them, to give me the strength I need. We read scriptures and say prayers together as a family and this brings so much peace into our home.
