Hi I'm Charlee

Runner, Lover of words, Musician, Mormon.

About Me

I'm just an average teenage girl! I haven't started an orphanage in Africa, I don't perform my music all over the world. I just live my life, I enjoy the talents Heavenly Father gave to me, I worry too much about things that don't matter and I do the best I can to be more like my Savior, Jesus Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I KNOW that this is the same church that Christ organized while He was on the earth. I know that it was restored through (not started by) a man named Joseph Smith. I know this because I took the challenge extended by James in the New Testament when he said, "If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God..." I have studied and prayed to find my answer. And, as in Matthew 7:16-20 "Ye shall know them by their fruits..A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit." If nothing else, the doctrine this Gospel teaches is GOOD. I have seen how these teachings affect my life and the lives of those around me for the better. I've see it save people from the grips of addiction, I've seen it restore love to broken marriages, I have seen it save people from the despair and depression that is so common in this world today and more than anything, I have seen this Gospel help people understand their purpose and give direction in this life during these tumultuous times.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by giving service to others - I play piano at baptisms, I shovel snowy driveways and I treat people the way sons and daughters of God should be treated. I make family a priority - My siblings are literally my best friends so I generally choose to spend my free time with them instead of with other friends. I adore and respect my parents so I listen to their advice and allow them to guide me. (This has been years in the making and is still not perfect..but I must say they've yet to be wrong about anything!) I put my nursing education on hold to serve a full time mission - I am currently serving in the El Salvador Santa Ana Mission for 18 months.
