Hi I'm Ty

I'm a husband, a brother, a son, and a friend. I love to smile. I love to laugh. I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I was born into the coolest family of this generation and am extremely close to my family. My one brother, three sisters, and my parents have been my best friends throughout my life. I love seeing our family grow as people get married (including me now!) and have kids. Family is the best! I believe that in life, we have a choice to either laugh or cry. Sometimes, crying is the right thing to do. Ask anyone that knows me - I cry all the time, especially in cheesy movies! That being said though, I love to laugh! I try to laugh as much as I can, because I think it makes life a lot better. I'm a recently-married and soon-to-graduate college student. While I am far from being a perfect student, I believe that learning in general is awesome. I love to learn. I love finding random and interesting fun facts. I love history. I love stories that inspire me to be better. Overall, I'm really a pretty normal guy, though I am unique in my own ways. I love Christian music and Christian movies. I love sports. I love people. I love food. I love life. I believe that I can make a difference in the world through the way that I live. I try to live as good of a life as I can, so that I can help others to live good lives as well!

Why I am a Mormon

Where to begin?! There a countless reasons causing me to be a Mormon! The number one reason is because within the LDS church I have found and continue to find TRUTH! I am a Mormon due to the countless witnesses that God has given me of the truthfulness of the gospel of Jesus Christ. I am a Mormon because of the joy, the peace, and the comfort I find as one. I am a Mormon because of the opportunities it gives me to serve others. I have not found anything else that makes me feel the way that actively living my faith does. The feeling I get as I learn of the gospel and as I teach the gospel is incredible. I do not know where I would be without my membership in the church. I don't know where I would be without the knowledge I have of a loving Heavenly Father and a Savior. My faith means the world to me! Life as a Mormon is encouraging. It is fulfilling. It is joyful. It is empowering. It is strengthening. I love being a Mormon!

How I live my faith

My faith is my life! I try to live my faith in many ways, but most importantly, I try to live my faith by reaching out to other people. I live my faith by making people smile, by encouraging them, and treating them with love. I live my faith through service to people I know well and to those I don't know as well. I seek to live my faith by visiting and befriending people who need friends. Ultimately, I live my faith by seeking to following the Savior's example. I live my faith by giving my all to everything I do. Having the belief that I am a child of God, I live so that I can magnify my talents and reach my potential. I know that with God, I can do all things, and I try to live my life to show that. One of my favorite quotes is "Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass, it's about learning to dance in the rain." I live my faith by choosing to be happy no matter what my current circumstances are. My faith teaches me that my life is not determined by what happens to me but by what I choose to make happen. I am in charge of my attitude and my effort. I can choose to be happy! I can choose to be faithful! I can choose to be strong! Within the Church, I have been a part of organizing activities, teaching the gospel, doing missionary work, and being actively involved in service. Currently, I have the opportunity to serve with the full-time missionaries in teach people the gospel. I have the opportunity to form new friendships every day! I love going to Church and I love the fellowship and friendship that I find there. Like I said, my faith is my life! It defines every aspect of who I am.
