Hi I'm Victoria

I am a Tongan, born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona. I attend Brigham Young University in Provo, UT.

About Me

I am a lover of many things. I enjoy art in all its forms. I have a creative and imaginative mind. I love to sing, dance, write, and be with my family and loved ones. I am a complex individual with a great love for others. Some would say I am a natural nurturer. I have an exhausting need to know everything about everyone; I like to tell myself its because I care so much and I honestly do. I find that I am more of a writer than an eloquent speaker. I am Tongan by blood, born to 'goodly' parents. I have a huge family, each of them with an even bigger heart. Blessed with an incredible culture, I try to stay true to the beliefs and traditions of my Tongan heritage but was raised to first honor and respect my LDS/Mormon culture first. I love my faith, my family, and above all . . .God.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the church. Like many families, my family struggled a lot. My parents raised us to be humble and gave us a strong foundation to build our testimonies upon. With each struggle and trial I began to lean more upon the Lord. I prayed more fervently to my Heavenly Father and I read my scriptures with an increased need to find understanding and comfort from the world. I always believed but it was not until I truly read the Book of Mormon for myself and personally and privately knelt down in prayer that I knew this was the TRUE gospel of Jesus Christ and the Book of Mormon was pure truth. Through that I found more understanding and knowledge.I know that I am a child of God. That my Heavenly Father loves me and has prepared a way that I might return to Him through faith in Jesus Christ, baptism, the gift of the Holy Ghost, and obedience to His laws. I understand what my role and purpose is and I am grateful for that knowledge. I know and firmly sustain President Thomas S. Monson as a true Prophet of God. He, along with his apostles, receives modern revelation from our Heavenly Father that can help guide us to where we need to be in life. I testify of the importance and magnificence of the Priesthood which honorable men hold. I love my family, my faith, and most importantly my God. He knows all things and He loves us with an infinite love. He sent His son to die for us that we might return to live in His presence. I know that Jesus is the Christ and our Savior. He lived, He died and through Him we may live. Of that I am profoundly grateful. I love this Church, it is a truly wonderful and perfectly beautiful. Families can be together within it and I know this to be one of the greatest truths and one of the main reasons why I am a Mormon and why I LOVE IT!

How I live my faith

As a daughter of God I try my best to uphold my calling as a visiting teacher and a member of the Young Single Adults activities committee. I help organize and plan monthly events for my ward. Together with my committee we plan fun, social, spiritual, and amazing ways to bring our ward brothers and sisters together to bond and find ways to progress. Each month I, along with my sister companion, visit some of the women in our ward and help uplift and serve each other. Spreading Christlike love is a great way to obtain that virtue in yourself and is what I strive to do each day. I try to do my best each day to live a clean, honest life.
