Hi I'm Mikayla Ashby

I am called to serve in the El Salvador San Salvador West/Belize Mission, and I love being a Mormon!

About Me

First off I've never been very good at about me paragraphs. Anyways I have been called to serve a mission in Belize and El Salvador. I am extremely excited to have such an amazing opportunity to share the gospel with people in a new way. My family has faced many difficult trials which I am very grateful for because they have helped mold me into the person I have become. I love the outdoors and spending time with my family we enjoy boating, hiking, and camping together. We also play a lot of card games. I played tennis in high school and absolutely loved it I was also in clubs, such as FBLA and FFA.

Why I am a Mormon

Being a member of this church has taught me things to improve my life now so I can have a better future and become the person I want to be. I love being apart of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I have met so many amazing people through the church. I love learning things about the gospel that I didn't know before. The more I strive to learn the larger my testimony grows. I was 12 when I truly was converted to the church. I had many traumatic things going on. I felt so alone, I didn't want to be around anybody because I didn't like people to know how I truly felt. In church I was learning that you are never alone, we learned ways to feel our saviors love. I had been struggling with knowing if I wanted to be a Mormon, so I prayed and asked to feel my saviors love and to know if this was the right church for me. As I prayed and read my scriptures every night, I got he feeling that I wasn't alone and I didn't have to go through these trials by myself there was someone who knew how I felt and wanted to help me. That is when I decided I was going to be a true Mormon.

How I live my faith

I am in the 16-18 age group of young womens. I am apart of the committee that plans girls camp. Young womens is where I gained my testimony.

What is the Book of Mormon?

Mikayla Ashby
The Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ. Many people are shocked when they decide to read it and see that it truly is a book of stories that can relate to us. It is a book about families and struggles they go through. It also talks of how God and Christ can help us in our difficult times. The Book of Mormon does not stand alone, it goes in harmony with the Bible. Show more Show less
