Hi I'm Logan Barber

American. I love adventure and days spent on the mountain, but it isn't the religion I love most. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am from the mountainous terrain of Lehi ,Utah USA. Mountains are where I love to be. The outdoors is my kind of life. From the African Savanna to the backcountry of the NWT, it is my kind of game. I love to hunt and fish. Just love enjoying the earth that God so graciously provided us with. I was baptized in March of 2004. Easily one of the best decisions I have ever made. I love my Savior, Jesus Christ and our Heavenly Father. I have a burning testimony that drives me to share it. Once I had felt the goodness and the grace of Christ, I feel a unmistakable desire to share it with the world. I now serve as a missionary for the church in the Canada Edmonton Mission doing just that. I am so grateful for the opportunity to serve my brothers and sisters but most of all, my God.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church in the year of 1996. I grew up with a faithful family and faithful parents. At first, honestly I didn't know why I was a Mormon. I attended church because my family attended. I did the things I was supposed to, but why? I had many people and things question my faith and question the way I lived. It came to a point where I knew I had to find out on my own if these things really were true and what I wanted to do with my life. I knew I had to have a testimony of my own. I can honestly now say that I have gained a testimony that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the true church of Christ. It didn't come quickly, nor did it come the way I thought it would, but it came. I now know that God is our Father and that He has a Son, even Jesus Christ. I know He is mine and your Savior. I have gained a witness that Joseph Smith is a prophet of God. I have obtained that witness through the Book of Mormon. I am also certain that if someone like me can gain that witness anyone can receive a witness. I truly believe that. I am a Mormon because of the happiness it brings me. My family has prospered more than I can describe from being a part of the church. I can't imagine life any other way. I am a Mormon because I have that witness that it truly is the church of Christ and I will never be able to deny that.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being an example of the believers and by striving daily to live a life even as Christ has lived. I also live my faith by serving as a full-time missionary. It was the greatest decision I have ever made to serve as a missionary. Yes it is hard, yes it seems long, yes it can be stressful, but oh how worth it it is. If you are thinking about serving a mission. Do it. Stop questioning it. Stop doubting your faith. I know that you will not regret it. Take a step of faith. I know that service is one of the best ways to live the faith, the faith of Christ. We can all live our faith by the day to day things we do. It must be shown through our actions, not just our words.
