Hi I'm Elder Di Liberto Mattia

I grew up in Italy. I'm currently serving a full time mission for the LDS church in Colorado. I'm a mormon.

About Me

My name is Mattia Di Liberto, I'm almost 22 years old. I was born in Milan, Italy. I graduated in June 2013, I studied in a school to become a chemical and physic technician of the environment, with specialization in nuclear energy; but I want to study medicine in university and hopefully become a heart surgeon. I like to play the piano, listen to music and have fun and hang out with my friends. I'm a sociable person. I grew up in a great family with good parents who always taught me very good values. My parents are both converts to the LDS faith; they both grew up Catholics, but my mom practiced more the catholic religion then my dad, before they got converted to the LDS faith, almost 19 years ago. I grew up with the Church in my life, and I never really understood the importance of that until I decided to serve a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of latter-day saints.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up with this Church in my life, but this doesn't mean that I always believed it to be true and I've never had doubts about it. Although my parents have always raised my up teaching me that this is the way I should follow, during my teenage years I doubted a lot and I wasn't really interested in finding a testimony by myself. But, with the help and example of my family and some special friends of mine, I started to develop a strong desire to know by myself if these things are true or not, ans once I started to really live the Gospel and to increase this desire, then I started to find my personal testimony. I love this Gospel and now I believe it to be true. I know that God hears and answers prayers. I know that Jesus Christ is my Savior and only by following His example we can find the true happiness and joy in our life; and the only way to know if this is true is to act, we must have the desire to find answers by ourselves. This is what I teach as missionary.

How I live my faith

Right now I'm living my faith by sharing with anyone what I believe and invite people to find answers by their selves in order to know by their selves the truthfulness of the things I teach; I study the scriptures and pray daily and I try to be a good example as an official representative of the Church.
