Hi I'm Jacob

Born and raised in Montana, going on the Florida Tallahassee Mission. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I work for my family business, it's a 3rd generation owned water well drilling business. When I'm not working for the family I do blacksmithing/ornamental ironwork for fun. During the warmer months in Montana I fish when I can and go hiking with friends.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the LDS church. However though I strayed away from the church when I was younger cause I felt like I didn't fit in. Just a few years ago I finally decided to start coming to church. I struggled through those few years over choices I had made when I was away from the church, I never shared with anyone about the choices I had made and it effected me spiritually very much so. I came to the point and I have been forgiven for my miss deeds. I don't have an elaborate reason or story why I come to church or I am apart of His church. I come every Sunday to His church because it makes me a happier person and I never want to become the miserable person I was when I pushed away from the gospel. For that fact alone is enough for me to believe in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

How I live my faith

I'm a ward YSA (Young Single Adult) representative. Also on Thursday nights we play basketball with different members in the ward.

How can we stop the spread and influence of pornography?

I personally think we need to educate about the consequences of allowing pornography into our life's. It hurts you spiritually, it tears down and hurts family's and loved one, and it makes men view and degrade women much less then what women should be. Users of pornography feel lonely and depressed the worse the habit becomes, they become more aware of themselves and less around them. We need to educate children in and out of church, and also men and women in and out of the church of the devastations that come from something so welcome in today's society. Show more Show less
