Hi I'm Brenae

I am a nature loving, food loving, redheaded bookworm, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love anything to do with the outdoors. I think nature is beautiful and I love to do activities like camping, rock climbing and hiking. I love to read books, all kinds of books! I love to eat food, all kinds of food! I ran cross country in high school and participated on the academic team in social studies and English. I am one of 5 kids, but the only one with red hair. I am in college right now but I don't know what I want to major in yet.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up as a Mormon. My parents did as well, with my dad growing up in it for the most part. His parents are converts to the church. Growing up knowing that my grandparents were converts and seeing how strong their faith and testimonies were gave me some strength in knowing that the church was good. As I entered my teens and went through high school and now through college, I began to learn more about other religions and faiths and I wondered if The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints really was true and if it was the church for me. I began to read the scriptures more and I prayed on a regular basis. I began to earnestly ask God if the church was true. Through my reading of the scriptures, I began to realize how good and pure this church really is. During our General Conference, when the prophet and apostles speak to us, I listened to the messages they shared with us. I recognized the purity of intent and the goodness of what they were sharing. They were truly inspired by the spirit of God. I know this church is true and I know that Thomas S. Monson is a prophet of God.

How I live my faith

I am getting ready to serve an 18 month mission for the Church in the Mexico Puebla North Mission! I couldn't be more excited to do so, and I cannot wait to serve our Heavenly Father for the next year and a half. I love this church so much and I am so excited to help others see the light and joy the gospel brings to my own life. In the mean time, while I am preparing, I attend my home branch with the calling of teaching a youth Sunday School class. I love spending time with the youth and seeing them grow as people and as children of God. I know this gospel is true, I know Joseph Smith was chosen to restore Christ's original church to the Earth once more, and I know President Monson is a true prophet called of God. This church is true and I am taking every opportunity to let others know of the truthfulness and goodness it contains.
