Hi I'm Evie Friedbaum

I grew up in Provo Utah and I love life. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a college student and BYU I am majoring in PD Bio. with a minor in International development. I hope to go into the medical field and after school work with relief programs. I ran cross country all through high school partly because it's the best sport, and partly because I have very little hand eye coordination and was really the only sport I could do. I also play the flute and have loved participating in plays.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into this church my father was a Jewish convert form New York , he and my mum met at BYU and fell madly in love. They stayed in Provo to raise their family, so i was raised in a predominantly mormon area. I feel like for a lot of my childhood I was mormon because my whole family was, and so were my friends. It was just expected that i would be a mormon too. However I had the opportunity to go to a summer camp in New York were I was questioned really for the first time about my religion. That summer I found my own faith in Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father, I was no longer merely holding onto my parents believes. I have discovered for my self that my church is true I have seen and felt Gods love in my life. My gratitude for my saviors atoning sacrifice is beyond lords. I have felt his immense love and have sought out the peace he offers many times during the trials in my life. I know that Joseph Smith was called of God to restore this church in the latter days, and that President Thomas S. Monson the current prophet of the LDS church has also been called of God, that he is the servant of The Lord on the earth today, and like the prophets in the scriptures communes with Heavenly Father to lead the church. I know this church is true and my life has been immeasurably blessed because of it.

How I live my faith

I love my gospel, and find that it has become such an integral part of my life that all all of my actions tie back into my faith. I have served as the president of a group female youth in my area for a couple years. we would plan activities that created a close friendship and support network between us. Recently I decided to serve a mission for my church and received the call to serve in the Milan Italy mission. I will be leaving in June and given a six week crash corse in the Italian language then I will head off to Northern Italy to preach my gospel for the next year and a half.
