Hi I'm Olivia Bown

I'm a missionary in the Kentucky Louisville Spanish mission. I'm a dancer, a laugher, and I'm a mormon.

About Me

I believe in laughing! I am 20 years old and I am a Spanish missionary for the GKLM. I was a student at BYU studying dance, and I grew up in Los Angeles, California as one of six children. I have been dancing since I could move, but I currently am serving an 18 month mission in the great and glorious state of Kentucky speaking Spanish. I love to travel, I love to meet new people, and I love to tell everyone I know of the beautiful plan of God. I love the Lord, I love the gospel, and I love all His children, of all faiths, all cultures, and all places. I know the church is true. Te amo.

Why I am a Mormon

Because I love God.

How I live my faith

I give all I have to God because He made me all I am. We as human beings would not exist without His love and His mercy, so I surrender all my worldly desires for the building of the Kingdom of God. Heavenly Father has given us commandments to follow and to show our devotion to Him. If we follow these commandments, we will be happy. Happiness comes from gaining a closeness to Christ. If we do all that the Father commands of us, He will bless us with blessings beyond our capacity to understand. Nothing on this earth will compare to the blessing of gaining eternal life. I am a missionary because I want to spread this knowledge to all the ends of the earth. I believe that all people have the capacity and ability to know the truth, if only they open their hearts and their minds to it. Christ chose to atone for all mankind. He did not just choose to atone for the Mormons, or the Catholics, or the Muslims, or the Jews. He loves all His children, and He atoned for us all. Every single human that has ever or will ever live on the earth, He chose to die for. There is not a human that is not subject to His atonement. He invites all to come unto Him and receive the blessings of His sacrifice. I believe the Book of Mormon to be the word of God. It is a testament of Christ's glory and of His divinity. Joseph Smith brought forth the Book of Mormon through the power of God in his unlearned and simple means. It is not a false book. Joseph Smith did not make it up. All who read it with a sincere heart and an open mind will learn and feel of its truthfulness and its power. It will change your life. Mormonism is for everyone. That is why I am a missionary. Everyone who chooses to come unto Christ and gain this knowledge will feel the Spirit of God. Their lives will change and they will know of the glorious plan of God. There is nothing that discriminates. All are invited to learn of this gospel if they so choose to. We are not just a church. We are the Children of Christ.

What will the Mormon missionaries talk about when they visit my home?

Olivia Bown
The Mormon missionaries are members of the Church who have chosen to dedicate 18 months or 2 years of their life to being full-time servants of Christ. Their purpose is to spread the gospel to all their earth, wherever they are assigned to labor. When they visit your home, they will teach you what we as a church believe and what purpose we serve on the earth. They will spread a message of Christ and His infinite atonement to all of the earth.
