About Me

Each day, I try to remember what I am grateful for, especially during difficult times. The thing I am most grateful for is the guidance of Heavenly Father that brought me to this church because not only is being a member of this church a blessing in itself, but it has brought me so many other blessings in life. The most amazing blessings in my life and things that I love most are my family and close friends, the 3 children that I nanny, teaching Kindermusik, working out (weight lifting, running, and yoga), teaching with the missionaries, and watching movies!

Why I am a Mormon

In March 2013, I was nearing the end of graduate school as a percussionist. I had no idea what I was going to do with my life! It was a little scary, but something inside of me told me that things would work out (now I know that feeling was the Holy Ghost). I interviewed for a nanny job in my neighborhood, and when I got rejected, I thought my life was over! I was going to have to move back in with my parents and be jobless. I just knew it! But then I started interviewing for nanny jobs across the country, and I had no idea how I was going to choose between so many awesome families! I prayed to God that I would just have a feeling, without doubt, which family to choose. I came to this family's home in Pennsylvania, and I knew they were the ones. They were LDS. I had to google search what LDS meant! I really had no idea what this church was. I began attending church with them, as well as my own Catholic church, just so I would know what their children were being taught. They talked about how they knew it was the "true church." I'm a curious person, so I decided to find out for myself which church was true! I avoided the missionaries for as long as I could because meeting with them put too much pressure on me. I was scared. I asked God for help, and He gave it to me (because He is so good). The bishop met with me and invited me to meet with the missionaries without the pressure of being asked to be baptized. So, I met with the missionaries at the end of November 2013 through January 2014. That's when they asked me to set a baptism date. I felt anxiety, and I coudn't do it! I prayed about it that week, though. I asked Heavenly Father to erase all doubt if this was the true church. Only days later, I felt completely confident that this was God's true church and that I should get baptized. On February 8, 2014, I was baptized! I am so grateful that Heavenly Father answers all of our prayers and gives us the guidance of the Holy Ghost to help us. I love being Mormon!

How I live my faith

My faith is my life. I pray and read my scriptures every single day, I try my best to show others love and understanding, I focus on helping and serving others when they need a hand, and I try to enjoy each and every day!
