Hi I'm Susanne

I'm a mother, a widow, a recent college graduate and a Mormon.

About Me

I am a recent college graduate with a degree in Business Education Teaching. I am substitute teaching until I am hired as a full time teacher. Many of my favorite things to do involve the outdoors. My favorite way to exercise is to ride my bicycle. I also like hiking. The wonder of the great outdoors that has been created for us to enjoy intrigues me. There are so many little things to enjoy about this earth. I also have many indoor interest such as sewing, reading and creating things with my computer. My most favorite pastime is spending time with my four children who have been my primary focus throughout their lives, but most particularly the past seven years since my husband's death.

Why I am a Mormon

Being raised in the church gave my a good foundation to build on, but it didn't automatically create a strong testimony , commitment or devotion to God or the church; that had to be developed. I went to church while growing up because it was the example I was shown. I continued going to church after I married and left home because of the spirit I felt there. I have taken the opportunity to study the gospel, to attend the temple and the serve others. These things have developed a strong faith and conversion to the gospel. My conversion and testimony helped me through the devastation and trial of losing my husband at the age of 37 with 4 children ages 9, 12, 14 and 16. Through my testimony I knew that Heavenly Father was watching over me, blessing me and helping me through each day as I needed him. I'm a Mormon because I know the gospel is true, because of the blessings and happiness that have come to me through living the gospel.

How I live my faith

In addition to teaching the gospel at home and helping my own children to learn about Heavenly Father and his plan for us, I've had many opportunities to serve others through the church. I have taught young children, youth and adults. I have been blessed to use my love of music to teach the gospel to children through song. I've been able to share my love of the outdoors with young women through the camp program. Currently I serve the women helping them to further strengthen and develop their testimonies, their families and other relationships through a better understanding of the gospel.
